We are regularly asked to create a colour to complement their interior palette, tiles, soft fabrics and even a Steinway Grand Piano! How Our Bespoke Flooring Design Process Works
With over 50 years of combined experience in bespoke wood floor colouring, the WFA team are true flooring craftsmen. If you are interested in a custom wood floor, here is how we work with you to create your perfect plank and floor design:
- Make an enquiry or a consultation appointment via phone, email or our contact form
- Arrange a showroom visit or a call to discuss your project requirements
- Take a tour of the design room & colour lab, before starting your unique floor design (we can also work remotely with you)
- Our colour technician & sampling team produce a control sample for approval in the WFA colour lab
- Once approved, we take your order before finishing your wood flooring
- You will get an estimated completion date & can schedule delivery

The Design Room
The design room is an inspirational space which houses large display panels to help you in your design decision making. Our tactile samples allow you to get a feel of the textures, colours, quality and finishes available, while our team can help advise you on which options to take to meet your bespoke wood floor requirements.
The Colour Lab
The colour lab is where thousands of different bespoke flooring colours have been created so far and where we offer our sample matching service. With an extensive range of fine and sustainable European Oak, we can offer you a top quality and efficient colour matching service. Working with leading brands of finishes from the UK and Europe, our colour technicians can mix stains and UV oils to achieve a specific colour shade.
