Architects and Interior Designers
We are a knowledgeable and technical team of wood floor specification specialists. We offer guidance to architects, interior designers, contractors and developers across multiple commercial and residential sectors. We can assist with specification advice, and provide a quick and efficient sampling service.
With more than 70% of the floors we produce being ‘one-offs’, it’s no surprise that architects and designers come to WFA for inspiration. We have created more than 4,000 bespoke wood floors and produce on average 7 new colours per week!
We engage from project inception, and can offer multiple formats, sizes, finishes and colours. Options, including plank, chevron, herringbone, patterned floors and parquetry, are tailored to specific project requirements. We also assist with the specification of other bespoke elements, such as staircases and hardwood mouldings, all coloured to complement the chosen floor.

Since 1999, our team has been instrumental in building our exceptional reputation for delivering quality service and unparalleled product excellence within the industry. We’re excited to share our extensive knowledge and expertise through our onsite Factory Tour.
During the Factory Tour, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time in our Design Room. With more than 100 large display panels, our Design Room offers an exclusive display of various formats, colours and grades, each highlighting the natural beauty of real wood flooring.
At the factory you’ll see the process involved in manufacturing our wood flooring products. You’ll witness first-hand the various techniques, such as brushing, staining, smoking, oiling and tumbling, which are integral to our production process. This immersive experience will provide you with a 360° view of our manufacturing operations.
Additionally, you’ll be able to participate in hands-on activities, including trying your hand at matching a control sample in our laboratory. This practical workshop offers valuable insights into our colour matching process and allows you to see the processes of how our bespoke floors are crafted.

Join us for an engaging session lasting an hour, available at breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or at 5pm. Our CPD session ‘Specifiers Guide to Bespoke Wood Flooring and Interactive Colour Matching Workshop’ offers a comprehensive overview that covers sustainability, the circular economy, certifications, grading, how we achieve bespoke finishes and design.
Participants will enjoy a hands-on and interactive experience where they can create their own bespoke colour matched sample, focusing on creativity and fun throughout the session.
Refreshments will be provided.
Contractors and Developers
Working together with main flooring, design and build, fit out, specialist joinery contactors and developers.
Contractors have been the foundation of our business since 1999, and still are today.
From initial specification to value engineering, floor preparation, installation and finishing advice, all the way through to maintenance and aftercare, we provide a comprehensive range of products and expertise to ensure that each project is completed to the highest standards.
We support contractors through the tender and procurement processes. We utilise in-house knowledge from our team of technical specialists, allowing us to suggest appropriate products and approaches to complicated projects.
Flooring Retailers
Our growing retail network now includes retailers in America, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Gibraltar and, of course, across the UK. We offer a completely bespoke sampling service, allowing each retailer to curate their own range of flooring and present it in a fashion that suits their showroom.
Most importantly, the selected range can be branded under their own name, allowing our clients to control their own product portfolio.
